As a child Peniston survived rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer,
and had to have surgery to remove a tumor and chemotherapy at
St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.
Annual check-ups revealed that the cancer slowed his growth process,
and he was much smaller than his classmates until he was 16 years old.
